Does anyone else wish the record could have just been 67?
They do:

During this stretch of 77 straight they have only had 10 duals within less than 10 points and 5 duals within 6 points. 3 of those 5 came in 2021.Bartlet up at 149. PSU having to forfeit heavy against Penn and Edsell and Ball being key. Cornell coming down to the upper weight hammers of Starrocci,Brooks,Dean, and Kerk winning it at the end. 2021 was a different world than the one we currently see. Only 1 dual within less than 10 points since late January of 2023, a 9 point victory over Nebraska in February of 2024. Since then, 22 duals with only 5 of those within 30 points. Only 1 within less than 20. Somehow they keep finding new levels of dominance. Can't wait for 100.

When they broke the record I didn't think it was a big deal because they're so much better than the rest of the country. But the more I think about it, it's really incredible and maybe the most incredible thing they've achieved. Just think about the Michigan match, they have a lot of tough guys and it wouldn't be a major news story if a couple of PSU's guys go dinged up. If that happens the OSU match becomes very interesting. Now think about not having that happen over a five-year span. It's amazing.

As a sports fan (of teams that mostly suck) it's crazy to have PSU wrestling to fall back on. Even the year Iowa won PSU had four champions and basically dominated Saturday night. Again, their "bad" year saw them crown four individual champs! Even when they lose they win! And now the streak is going and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight because they keep getting better. Is this the best team in the world in any sport? Is Cael the best coach in the world regardless of the sport? I'm thinking the answer is yes.

Don’t forget. Win Friday and beat the unbeaten streak currently held by PSU, OkST and Iowa. We own the win streak, just not the unbeaten and untied.

85.

there is also the Div III wrestling streak at 122 or something similar.
