later that the rest of the college wrestling teams, but appreciated by PSU fans none the less.

You can find the roster at the below link.

One of the things I most look forward to each year when the roster is finally posted is a view of the true freshmen on the team, as PSU/PSU coaches rarely disclose the names of all of the incoming wrestlers.

The true freshmen listed on the roster by PSU are:

- Marcus Blaze, 133 (Perrysburgh, OH)
- Asher Cunningham, 174/184 (State College, PA)
- Sean Degl, 165/174 (Mahopac, NY)
- Nate Desmond, 125 (Bethlehem, PA)
- PJ Duke, 157 (Slate Hill, NY)
- Mason Ellis, 184/197 (Gurley, AL)
- William Henckel, 174 (Southbury, CT)
- Dalton Perry, 141/149 (Renovo, PA)

I know that the weights listed on the roster when PSU finally releases it are not the end all of the discussion or the process. WIth that caveat, one of the things I found most interesting in looking at weights was 141. The only PSU wrestlers listed as being at 141 are:

- Hayden Cunningham, 141, RS Fresh
- Dalton Perry, 141/149, True Fresh
- Brock Weiss, 141, RS Fresh

Interesting note that freshman Sean Degl is the son of John Degl. John wrestled for Iowa, under Dan Gable, and if I recall correctly qualified for NCAAs at Iowa. After his wrestling career was over, he returned to NY (he was a state champ in NY) and he got into coaching. Along the way, he founded the "Iowa Style Wrestling Club." I don't know all the iterations of the club, but I believe it is currently called the Empire Wrestling Academy, and its web site states "we teach Iowa-style wrestling."

Fortunately for PSU fans, John's son, Sean, will now be learning PSU-style wrestling.

Not a huge surprise if you've thought about this issue, or looked at @dicemen99's spreadsheet (pinned post at the top of this board), but PSU is not losing many wrestlers at the end of this season, at least due to graduation/no more eligibility.

- Sam Beckett, 174, is a graduate student
- Lucas Cochran, 197, is a senior
- Levi Haines, 174, is a senior

That's it.

We also only have 2 commits coming in next fall (James and Herring).

Not sure if it happened overnight or first thing this morning but there are some updates here:

Ono is listed at 133

Braeden Davis is listed at 141

Kasak listed only at 157

Cochran now 285 with Mirasola.

Yes, there are several changes from what was posted last night.

Nagao's weight has also been changed from 133 to 141.

I'm not sure why Nagao seems to be an afterthought for many PSU fans.

We haven't seen him wrestle healthy since the 2023 season, during which he beat Lucas Byrd and Jesse Mendez, and finished 5th as an RSFR. He also gave RBY all he could handle

Maybe Davis is winning in the room, but I want to see it before I believe it.

pretty sure he wrestled at 157 last year when Kasak was out for a couple duals

He did -- 2/14 against tOSU, and 2/16 against Illinois.

As @randyl questions, Sealy was listed at 165 on last year's roster, though he ended up moving down to fill in for Kasak after Tyler was injured.

30 on the dot. Was curious if they carried a few more for this year and the answer is no

Sean will be the most fortunate beneficiary of that instruction.
