PBP: As indicated in the NIU match thread, I've got an event that I can't miss this evening. I may be back to provide some PBP in the 2nd half of the Cornell dual, but that's about all I'll be able to do. Here's hoping that some of you will step forward and provide some PBP. As a reminder to those that provide PBP, please post the score at the end of each match, as well as the team score after each match.

To those who are unhappy with our 157 and 165 pounders and suggest we get transfers ASAP, please indicate WHO in the transfer portal you desire. Also keep in mind that programs have 9.9 scholarships/year to provide (although I do believe Covid has messed with that) and that we have studs Shayne Van Ness and Alex Facundo waiting in the wings.

Get on board with who we’ve got, but they ain’t Nolf and Cenzo. I still think Joe Lee and even Matt Lee could get in the picture.

PSU has three significant weak links in this year's lineup. Add that to an overmatched Beau Bartlett at 149, and it spells trouble against Cornell tonight. Four national champions or no, there are probably several teams in the country whose overall starting talent, first man to tenth-, could be as good as, or better than, PSU's this season. Tonight's second match, against the ninth-ranked team in the nation, could very easily have gone the other way.

For those who viewed the match live, should Lee and Edsell won their matches? It sounds like Joe Lee should have been more aggressive and Creighton Edsell ran out of gas in his match.

Combination of things. RBY & N. Lee are more TD machines. Of the two, Lee works more for tilts, but isn't always successful. After that, it was more a factor of the opponents. CStar faced #12 Chris Foca, who while a fresh is very accomplished. AB faced #15 Jonathan Loew, another talented younger wrestler. Dean faced #19 Jacob Cardenas who is really stout, and also very talented.
