My grandson went to the wrestling camp this week. He throughly enjoyed it. He said all coaches and PSU wrestlers were great and extremely nice and helpful. He really enjoyed the groups with Rocco Welch, Marcus Blaze, Ono, and Shayne Van Ness. He even said the food was really good. With all the negative stories I thought a chat about all the good the program is doing for our youth needs to mentioned. Thanks PSU coaches and wrestlers for giving my grandson a memorable experience.

Wrestling camps at Penn State are great. How great, you ask? In 2023-2024 wrestling camps generated $414,000 for the wrestling program. That's almost double the camp revenue for each of the next three highest sports: women's volleyball at $233,000, football at $225,000, and women's soccer at $220,000. Below that there are a few sports that generate over $100,000. But, wrestling is king-of-the-hill -- in no small part due to the experience your grandson had.

Where do I get info on the Penn State camps? My grand nephew comes back today from a month long camp by Sam Henson. I'd love to send him to a Penn State camp next year.

I worked the Penn State Camps and John Fritz’s Keystone camps back in the 80s when I was a student/athlete as Penn State. It was a great experience. The current crop of wrestlers and staff are some of the best people and best coaches around. Men of faith and honor. Unsubstantiated rumors aside.
