There’s always lots of chatter about the best streaming options to watch wrestling, especially post-season. But often the good ideas and suggestions are buried in and across multiple threads. And every season I seem to forget the streaming tips, tricks, and cheats I learned last season. So, maybe it would be helpful to have one repository thread for this stuff (NOT FOR STREAMING COMPLAINTS).
I’ll get it started by noting what I did this season as a cord-cutter type without cable access to BTN, ESPN, etc.
PSA: Don’t forget to cancel your streaming subs before the deadline so you don’t get surprise charges. I learned about the Privacy.com virtual CC option a few years back from a poster on the old Rivals board and I use it for all these temporary subs in case I forget to cancel in time. It has worked great and spared me cancellation hassles several times.

- I got the Black Friday BTN+ deal of $4.99 month for 6 months. This got me access to 5 lesser PSU duals plus all sessions of the B1G tourney (except the finals I think). I just cancelled the sub, so it cost me $20 for 4 months.
- I found that the bigger duals that were only on BTN or Flo (
) were often posted on official YouTube channels within a few hours of the conclusion and were often streamed live on unofficial YT channels if you search around. - I got a 21-day free trial of YouTube TV to get access to all remaining post-season streams on BTN and ESPN/ESPNU. I discovered the 21-day free trial through my account page on several of my google accounts. It appears this doesn’t work with the account that I used for a free YT TV trial most recently (several months ago), but it's easy to create a new google acct to unlock this option. I think the best free trials I found online for YT TV outside of this option were for 7 days. I started my free trial on 3/7 so it's good thru 3/28.
- When the NCAA tourney started I realized that the option to select specific mats was only available on ESPN+ (
). Because I didn’t want to be at the mercy of ESPN for which matches it chose to bounce among, I ponied up the $12.99 for a 1 month sub to ESPN+.
