The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestlers (10-3), ranked No. 5 nationally by Intermat, will head west to take on No. 8 Oklahoma State (8 - 3) on Sunday, February 15th.

Action begins in Stillwater at 3 p.m. Eastern/2 p.m. Central.

Oklahoma State hosts Clarion on Friday, Feb. 13, post-press.

Penn State leaves Friday to travel to Stillwater, Okla., where it'll take on Oklahoma State in a Sunday dual, the second year of a home-and-home nonconference series.

The Nittany Lions won the 2014 contest, 23-12, in Rec Hall.

This Sunday at 2pm Oklahoma State University wrestling will welcome the fifth-ranked, and four-time defending National Champions, Penn State University. The Nittany Lions come into Stillwater on senior day for the Cowboys, and thePokes have something special planned.

With a huge crowd expected, OSU is looking to bring back the magic that once surrounded wrestling in the hallowed halls of Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The huge idea? Raise the wrestling mat on a stage about three feet above the court, and putting floor seats all the way up to the stage for this top 10 dual between wrestling powerhouses. In a sport where, in today's day and age, most of the noise comes from the PA announcer calling out points scored, or the coaches screaming instructions at the wrestlers, crowd noise will become a huge factor once again! It will be loud and clear to Penn State that they are no longer in Happy Valley! It's time to bring the rowdy back to wrestling!

The marketing for Oklahoma State Wrestling has made huge improvements. It doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated. Coach Esposito does a great job putting out the Cowboy Wrestling newsletter. They gave out free shirts to the first 350 last night. The wrestlers and staff have been working hard to promote this dual to pack the house. I've seen the signs posted in the ground all over town advertising the duals all season long. The Mat Maids have had great energy and personality. Brandy is an unsung hero and does so much for our program.
Doing what we can as fans, LOVEOSUSPORTS and I are hosting a pre-dual party at Hideawy this Sunday 11am-1pm. Pizza and salad buffet for $8.50. I don't know how many the Hideaway holds but come out and join us then let's pack that house!!! Remember it's senior day too. Loyal and True. Go Pokes!

Make no mistake, there's no denying the magnitude of this weekend's matchup between Oklahoma State and Penn State.

With the championship season looming, history and pride is on the line in Gallagher-Iba Arena. It may not be the NCAA Championships yet, but when collegiate sports' most storied program faces a new power, both teams will treat what happens on the mat as if a championship is on the line.

For the first time since December 2007, Penn State will make its way to Stillwater, OK, for a dual with college wrestling's most accomplished program. With 34 National Championships, Oklahoma State's taken more team titles than anyone else. But it's already been seven years since the Pokes won their last championship - and this season doesn't figure to stop the streak. Like our Lions, Oklahoma State fields one of the younger squads.

UNIVERSITY PARK - When Garett Hammond got around to checking his cell phone after his first win over a Top 10 foe last week, he had a bunch of texts to scroll through and a boatload of voicemails.
Most were from friends and family back home in the Chambersburg area who had watched as Hammond finished off Iowa's No. 7 Nick Moore in come-from-behind fashion to bring a packed Bryce Jordan Center crowed to crescendo. Hammond is hoping for similar results Sunday when No. 5 Penn State (10-3, 6-3 Big Ten) travels to Stillwater to wrestle No. 7 Oklahoma State (9-3).
