They’re ranked first and have beat a ton of good teams. We got beat by 40
no way you are comparing a team that is 8-0 to our team whos been blown out like 4 times now lol
Considering they are ranked #1 , 8-0 and have wins over a top ten Alabama team and a 30 pt beatdown over Texas Tech ranked 15th I’d say No.
It’s not comparable to being 5-4 and losing to every team with a pulse you’ve played, 3 out of 4 where you were down big and never truly in the game.
Purdue is down 24 and is still playing with more heart than UK at any time versus Gonzaga.
We’re Kentucky. I mean damn. Everyone has lowered their expectations. In my eyes we should be ranked within the top 15 every single year and a bad year would be a second round exit. Popes peak was last year just because he had seniors who could shoot. We won games we shouldn’t because we’d shoot the lights out but couldn’t guard a jv team. That is mid major ball which is where pope is from and all he knows.

I watched Pope’s teams at BYU. He just needs a few more pieces. I know many of you think the 2 that we have that are injured won’t matter immensely. But, they will free up our existing 3 point shooters and solidify our defense.
watching good teams play like Duke and Michigan St. play shows just how far behind Kentucky is. It's an embarrassment that can't even be fathomed for the price we paid for mediocracy. What a sad pathetic take.
Naw. We would have been subjected to years of mediocrity with Drew. If Pope can’t turn things around and he sees he’s not the man for the job, he’ll step aside. He loves this program.
I wonder if Mitch even called Otzelberger, probably not. Like people keep saying Mitch exhausted every coach in college basketball before he “settled” on Pope. But does anyone really believe Barnhart even put out feelers for guys like Lloyd at Arizona, Golden at Florida or the Iowa State coach? Any of those coaches would do great at Kentucky.

No way, and any rational person is not calling for firing our coach either, nine games after coy consideration. That's irrational, emotional and stupid if they actually expect it to happen at either place, period! But yeah, both schools have their share of that type of "fan", said very lightly.
