If we can stop David Bell, we can keep them under 14 points; winnable game. They beat Iowa on the heels of a 20-13 loss to Minnesota and a 13-9 win over Illinois.
Their other loss is to Notre Dame.
UTSA is #24, 7-0 and on a 10-game winning streak dating to 2019.
Purdue has one excellent player. I don’t think they’re very good.
It looks like there's going to be an epic battle in the Sun Bowl between UTSA and UTEP (6-1) to determine the division.UTSA is #24, 7-0 and on a 10-game winning streak dating to 2019.

Why didn't Bell go pro. He was all "that" last season.I don't know if they are very good, but they looked dominant against Iowa. Maybe it was mostly Bell, maybe just a perfect storm for Iowa, but just trusting my eyes, they looked good. By the way, Iowa's DB expected to play on Sundays got torched by Bell, while we saw what Newsome did to Bell last year. Impressive.
Purdue has looked way, way better than NU this season. I think Horvath might be back by then as well. It's going to be another very bad game in Wrigley for those NU supporters who don't mind watching football in that place (upgraded from dump). They're going to kill us.

They are 2-1 in the division, we are 0-1. They are 4-2 overall, while we are 3-3, while playing a weaker schedule thus far. That is why they are ranked and we are not. Can we beat them? Of course, but right now they deserve the ranking. From what we have witnessed from the Cats thus far the Cats- Boilermakers game will be a toss up with maybe a slight advantage to Purdue. We are trending upward, but based off of one game. How we play against Michigan will be a great gauge as to what we can expect when we start divisional play. The improvement we saw with Rutgers was a great shot in the arm for the team and of course us fans, but I want to see consecutive weeks of improvement before I will talk division championship. Until then I do not see how we can talk down any divisional opponent. The parity in the West makes the chase all the more fun to watch. They beat Iowa on the heels of a 20-13 loss to Minnesota and a 13-9 win over Illinois.

Because he was a Sophomore last season and a Junior this season. NFL rules won't let him go until after this seasonWhy didn't Bell go pro. He was all "that" last season.
Are you serious? The Cats must play Michigan,Minnesota,Iowa and Wisconsin before Purdue.Thats a pretty tough four game stretch also.Purdue has a brutal guantlet of games before we play them. Hopefully this will be game where we wrap up the West.![]()
Hey, thanks for your opinions.I loved his post .. it basically said “hey uh, guys, I don’t know if you watch other big ten games but Uh… I don’t know if this is going to go the way you think it is.”
most of the posters here remind me of Purdue fans who thought Michigan state wasn’t **** early in the year lol.
Man, you’re weird. I don’t think Northwestern is good. I also don’t think Purdue is good. This is based mostly on the fact that Purdue has been mostly bad recently. Iowa was a tremendous upset — I just was surprised it got Purdue into the top 25.Oh I’ve got the idiot who started this thread … awesome.
hey idiot … did David bell play against Illinois or not? Was he just returning from a bad concussion vs Minnesota in a monsoon or not?
who is very good? A team that had Nebraska fans wanting to extend Scott frost for a week?
Nebraska’s defense is ranked 43rd nationally. They held you to 7 points. What’s better? 43rd or 12th?
do you know anything?
Lol, you came onto our board last year like this:The 2021 boilers and cats play in 2021 right? I mean I guess it would be awesome hoping the 2014 boilers and Darrell hazell show up. I’ll let doc brown and Marty know.. see if they can help you arrange a danny hope cameo.
I like that theme by the way. Too much bravado because of a recent result.
It’s almost like when fans root for a school that beat Rutgers, their 109th ranked offense, 60th ranked defense.. and now think they are winning the big ten west and will beat Purdue.
Respect fitz and your team and their discipline and development
There couldn’t be a more entitled oblivious fan base than Nebraska .. thanks for hopefully taking them one step closer to being out of our conference
Well then we really better bring our A game and hope for the best. It’s not gonna be easy
I think he took too many hits on the bong.and now you come out like a big swinging dick insulting our fans on our board because you guys are ranked #25 and we're having a rough start to the season after winning the division last year. Take too many hits to the head last year?
Well, the last time we played at Wrigley, we had just lost our QB (Persa).Purdue has looked way, way better than NU this season. I think Horvath might be back by then as well. It's going to be another very bad game in Wrigley for those NU supporters who don't mind watching football in that place (upgraded from dump). They're going to kill us.
Keep Hilinski in. The guy is the future and doing rather well. That will gave a positive effect on recruiting for '23.Well, the last time we played at Wrigley, we had just lost our QB (Persa).
Hopefully, this next time, we'll have our QB returning (Marty).
Hey, dude, did you have difficulty posting?I don’t think Purdue will be ranked next week.
