Already looks like the best QB commit to UK since Couch. Best QB I have seen UK commit, he looks like Tom Brady the way he hits that back foot and throws. accuracy and accuracy. Wow, think if he stays with UK than might be biggest recruit since Couch, just really talented kid.

Can he enroll this year? Know he has another year of HS

Look like he throws a pretty good ball. His OL doesn't look great either. Most of those throws were under pressure. needs to work on the footwork a little bit. He's got the Towles happy feet. He could be a solid QB here.

Hes doing it under center. Very important. We need to either go full spread option, or just get under center and run a balanced offense.

Getting under center gives our young/typically overmatched OL the advantage of a snap count.

Back up QB's at UK are always a Tom Brady until they hit the field.

The point of me saying that is becuase Tom Brady drops back and hits that back foot and the ball is gone, great footwork for a HS kid, great mechanics and accuracy. No way was I saying he was as good etc.. His film and footwork and accuracy looked awesome.

UK has seen such bad QB play and offense that I am almost oblivious to watching a kid hit WR's in stride, hitting that back foot and throwing a completion at the numbers, not watching runaway fraternity league guys running out of pocket etc. No offense to our current guys but UK has not had good QB play in a long time, Mike Hartline was a pretty good QB when you look what we have gone through.
I mean this kid to a UK fan looks like Unitas, Marino, Montana rolled into one honestly. It was gives us hope.
IMO

Real Deal I know exactly what you mean. His footwork is the first thing that stands out and he uses very much to his advantage like Brady does. Both are slim guys that don't have the strongest arms but use their footwork to generate a quicker delivery and velocity. Both glide around the pocket without crossing their feet which enables him to maintain ready and balanced throwing motion. Brady is the master at that. Couch was pretty good at it too.

Again not comparing their abilities of course, just their style. I know Mac knows his biggest need is to get stronger and he seems to be really focused on that but I love his natural feel for the position and can't wait to see how much better he looks with added strength.

I like how fast he is on his drop back which gives him more time before he throws. He is very accurate on the short passes and hits his receivers in stride.

Seems like he is leaning forward surveying the field and then his whole body goes to that back foot on the throw.

For all of the flak that Dawson gets (some from me), I truly believe that he knows what great QB's look like, and I think he knows that well. A lot of talk about Mac Jones getting an invite to this upcoming "The Opening" event. If he makes it to the finals in that event (quite confident in that happening), he could end up as a high 4 star/low 5 star recruit down the road. Doesn't hurt that he's doing this in the always super talented state of Florida.
Very impressive footwork, quick decision-making, making good decisions under pressure, great accuracy, and it seems like he puts just the right amount of air under the ball. Doesn't float it up any more than he needs to, and it looks like it's money for a pretty good distance downfield.

The kid looks much better than his present star rating would suggest. He's accurate as hell too.

I'm sure his stock will rise and he'll get a lot more interest going forward. Also know he's a solid commit and really likes Dawson.

I agree ^ and Dawson certainly saw something he liked as he didn't waste any time getting on Mac.

Quick release
Nice footwork
Very accurate (haven't seen a highlight reel yet where a QB was not accurate!)

I'm assuming with Dawson out this kid de-commits. We will find out soon enough.

I sure hope not, but I was thinking the exact same thing. Maybe he will see who UK brings in before he makes that decision.
