Quality + Creative Offense Review

This guy breaks down the offense that Billy Napier ran at LTech. The first few mins he reviews the defense, so skip forward to watch him review the concepts Billy runs.

Closely watch the concepts deployed, and how they match up to WVU. They are VERY.........VERY different.... Ask yourself.....WHY.... Why are they different.

There are only two correct answers:

1. Limited QB
2. Young OL

This is the versatility of offense you should see from WVU, but we dont have the roster to deploy it, and this is a G5 team! This is why I strongly believe the vast majority of our offensive issues are roster based and not due to our staff not knowing how to put a creative & unpredictable offense on the field. I think the level of limitations are substantial and they are assimilating a piece mill offense that our roster can execute.

The good news:

#2 Should not be a concern next year, at least for the majority of the season. They may start slow in the first few games, but I think our OL should come together quickly next season and play at a level that allows for a more diverse assortment of blocking schemes.

This is a very interesting review, esp if you are interested in knowing how+why+when concepts work, or the justification of them.. It also shows the skillsets needed to deploy a creative offense, and when you dont have them places significant limitations on how you can create productivity. Thats also another reason why+how a staff can "outperform", but being extremely limited, but yet still manage to put a team in a position to be competitive.

Highly recommend you take a few mins, and watch this film breakdown from an old HS/college coach..
