I have a friend having a birthday coming up and they are requesting to have Almond Chicken at a local Chinese Restaurant. I'm not aware of any that serve that specifically but haven't been to that many Chinese Restaurants in Lexington so I'm not a great source of info for them. Anyone out there have any helpful hints on such a place in Lexington?

Cheng's on Clay's Mills is the best Chinese by a million miles!! Once you eat there, all other local Chinese joints will pale in comparison. Trust me here, it's the joint you need to know.

Their food is the bomb. Unless something has changed, they only have 2 or 3 tables for dining but I love to have their stuff delivered or pick it up.

Haven't been to lex in awhile but go to the place with the empty, yet bubbling, fish tanks and Pvc pipes laying across the floor of the lobby. That'll be your authentic chinese
I haven't found any really good Chinese food in Lex. I have been told by several that the best is easily Panda Cuisine off Nicholasville Road. However, I haven't eaten there so I can't vouch, but I've heard that from a bunch of people. I will say that looking at the menu it certainly looks authentic.
As someone mentioned Chengs on Clays Mill is pretty solid, but I wouldn't say it's great.

Truth. I did get some under-cooked rangoon there recently...but that was a rare exception.
