Are Stone Bleachers outlawed? Are they allowed? I heard they weren't but some fields were grandfathered in when a rule came out about them. I remember when I played at Mount Airy that Starmount and East Surry had stone bleachers. Reason I am asking is because there is a historic field in Vance County (Henderson) called Veterans Field and the old Henderson High School and Vance Senior High School Football Teams called Veterans Field home until 1989. I've been thinking about a possible renovation project and Veterans Field has stone bleachers, granted the field and bleachers could use some repair and/or TLC. Just wanted to know if stone bleachers could still stand or be allowed if repaired and if there were grants out there for projects like this? Thanks all!
