Question for my fellow fans about dealing with the anonatrolls...

These guys have started to get on my nerves and I'm looking at two options, one mundane and one extreme.

The mundane option, of course, would be to just put them on ignore. But there's really no fun in that.

The extreme option would be to correct their grammar and spelling.
Now I'd never do that to most board members; that would just be rude.

But is it socially acceptable to do that to anonatrolls?

Nobody likes a Grammar Cop/Nazi.

Only time it's acceptable as an internet culture OG is if they're attacking your intelligence or somebody else's intelligence; they make a good ol "fox pause" - then it's fair game.

But if they make a good point or at least a reasonable one and make the error, that just makes you look like a punk.

If they make a reasonable point I don't consider them trolls; I mean the couple that are always insulting people.
But it was a real ask for advice and I respect your opinion and you convinced me; I won't do it even for trolls. Ignore it is.

Just saying. I've been msg boards of all shapes and sizes and varying themes.

Grammar Cops/Nazis NEVER come out on top unless it's in the scenario I gave.

Best thing is to ignore for the most part especially when you realize they are truly a troll.

I put a poster on ignore the other day because they were being a sarcastic jerk for no real reason. I rarely ever put anyone on ignore as I can carry on a conversation with most anyone even if we don't agree all that well with each other's ideas. I draw the line when someone is very unreasonable and just seems to want to insult or argue with someone just to do it with no real reason or valid point.

For all intensive purposes, in this fast paste world we live in, you will reek havoc on the goody tissues should you correct them. That is a loosing proposition, a Catch 52 if you will.

Trolls are ever where on any type of chat board, I usually call them out, a real troll usually will not reply but someone who appears to be a troll will at least try to defend themselves.

I hate the anon user names. I like to keep track of people’s perspectives and contributions, get a sense for whom I’m speaking with. Original distinctive user names make that easiest.

I love using "Fox Pause" in conversation just to see who will catch it. It's one of my favorite intelligence/wit checks in every day life.

Bone ape/apple tit is on my list too.

Goodness, I love wordplay.
I die every time I see a video, I seen that one on an old Alonzo Lerone video on YouTube. Get a dictionary. Hilarious stuff.
