Has any SEC team ever been down 17 points and came back for the win in back to back road games? Or even any NCAA division one teams in conference games? I know either one of our last two games is probably our biggest road comeback since the big LSU comeback under Pitino.

I googled it. Came back saying it hasn't been done before Kentucky in the SEC.

While various SEC teams have achieved individual 17-point comebacks, no SEC men's basketball team had ever recorded 17-point comebacks in back-to-back road games until Kentucky achieved the feat in January 2026.
Kentucky's historic January 2026 run included:
  • January 14, 2026 (at LSU): The Wildcats trailed by as many as 18 points in the second half before rallying for a 76-75 victory, sealed by a Malachi Moreno buzzer-beater.
  • January 17, 2026 (at #24 Tennessee): Just three days later, Kentucky trailed by 17 points (41-24) in the first half but stormed back to win 80-78 in Knoxville.
While larger single-game comebacks exist in SEC history—such as Texas A&M's 27-point comeback against Ole Miss in 2025—Kentucky's feat is distinguished by occurring in consecutive games, both on the road.
