as im sure you're all aware with the diallo situation at ky, I would like to get your take. Would you guys of taken diallo with the possibility of him never playing for your team? Harry files is the best comparison to this situation. He was obviously not up to par while at duke but that's not to say he won't have a great NBA career. That said, had Harry chose not to play so he didn't hurt his stock would you of been ok with that or would you been impartial to him going to duke and not playing? Personally, with diallo I think he will come back and is just getting all the feedback he can because a record 183 players declared and since he hasn't stepped foot on a college court it will more than like make him a late first round pick at best. If Jen comes back he will be a lottery pick. Without having your I hate uk glasses on, how would you feel if it was a duke player?

I personally wouldn't have had a problem if Giles hadn't played. I was only disappointed to not get to see the guy that was the top dog before his injuries. I think we were all stoked up to see this kid that was compared to Garnett and C Weber. I'm glad he chose to play and risk more injury, which to me is a testament to him being a team player, because he had more struggles than great play. I can't speak about Diallo. Honestly I know nothing about his situation

Two totally different situations in my opinion. Gilles suffered two different knee injuries and three different surgeries between his sophomore year in high school and his freshman year in college. Diallo graduated from high school/prep school after the first semester and enrolled at Kentucky a semester early for one of two reasons: 1) to learn Kentucky's system to get himself prepared for next season at Kentucky or 2) to exploit a loophole in the NBA draft rule since he's 19. If he returns next season then it was reason #1 but if he doesn't return next season then could be speculated that it was reason #2.

Only speaking for myself but I feel blessed to see what little we did see of Giles. He showed some flashes of what he can become barring any more injuries, but I will always think of him as given it his all while at Duke even though it wasn't his best because of injuries and also because he is a hometown kid and I love my hometown kids, following them through HS and then recruiting and College and on to the next level.

To me it would be worth taking the chance. He went to UK to play and it was not his fault that he did not get any PT.I do not see how the NBA is even looking at him now. What are they using to evaluate him.He has not played any significant BB since his JR year in HS.Cannnot blame him if he has a chance to become an instant millionaire. Only in America lol

I tend to not give a rats *** whats going on in Kentucky, but maybe that's just me.

There are more people there talking about Duke than any forum on earth;)

Plus I've actually played 2k with a few guys from there, it was good times.

But that was me! I was bashing Bilas! I was the hater!

Oh well. I'll message a moderator at some point, see what can be done.
Some of the mods are trigger happy. Plus you've seen our board if you have less than 100 posts you're called a troll. Being a dyke fan is just as bad. I've taken up for you before on cat paw but my opinion falls on deaf ears. I think you do a good job and are respectful

Ignore the haters my man
I'm new to this forum and honestly don't hate any other team. I think it is worth it to roll the dice on guys like Giles and Diallo. Speaking for myself you don't seem to be a troll just honest and I can respect hearing an outsiders opinion, although I disagree with you on Tatum, he grew into a great team player this year. Go Duke! :)

I like to joke but I am respectful to others home boards. Cat paw is brutal. One bad post and you are frowned upon. I appreciate the honest answers
