I have seen on the Internet that both Thornton and Smith Jr. will be at the game tonight. Both of these kids are currently 2016 recruits and both future pros, even though they play different styles. Dennis Smith mentioned in an article I read yesterday that he talks to Duke and Coach K the most of any college coaches. I am wondering if people think Duke is recruiting Thornton as a plan if Tyus decides to bolt pro after this season? I have heard that Thornton could potentially reclassify to 2015. Or do you think Duke wants to bring in both for 2016? Or is it one or the other for 2016? Look forward to hear what everyone is thinking in regards to this situation.

I feel like if these top guys are interested in Duke, we'll be just fine. We are attracting bright, talented kids. We good.

They still could be. Semi says hi. Just saying.
I'm just sayin, the insinuation that these guys were in the same ball park in HS was silly then and silly now. Dennis Smith is sniffing the lottery after one year. Thornton could play his way in eventually, but he lacks the athleticism to be anything but a beautifully passing PG and shooter to make the NBA. I could see him in Spain or China, or working his butt off and pulling a Quinn.

Smith is going early first round. His knock right now is teams are questioning his work ethnic.Thornton is currently ahead of Jackson in the second round of the 2018 NBA draft and that's with not playing in a year.

You put any stock in the 2018 mock draft? I figured those were just guesses.

That's the scout mock draft. It's been right so far in terms of who would declare in 2017. Everyone who was gonna declare or put their name in has done so even if just to see where they go.
Thornton was in the 2017 first round prior to him transferring from Duke.

You mean prior to him playing at Duke...
