I actually watch some of that, and have no idea how he isn't on an NBA roster. He looked quicker, shot the ball well, and finishes everything around the rim. I love watching the creative ways he avoids defenders, and lays the ball in. It really is pretty amazing!

I completely agree!

are other teams outside the cavs allowed to sign him (at least a 10-day contract)?

It depends if the Cavs sent him to the d-league or he went on his own. If it was a move by the Cavs then no but if he tried out for the d-league then yes

Huge congrats to Captain Cook. Hopefully he will get his name called to the NBA. Quinn has 2 MVPs since 2015. He no doubt should be up next!

they did give up some guards in the cousins deal........i immediately thought of the pelicans and quinn when i saw the deal this morning
Yes, they actually need a guy like Quinn right now. I'd be shocked if they don't sign someone similar as a scoring option from outside.

I think NO would be a great spot for Quinn. Has a couple all-star bigs to feed the ball and can play off the ball with Holiday and Frazier playing point.

Dad2ze, thanks for the post. Love that picture of Quinn, and it couldn't happen to a nicer young man! All of Duke nation should take pride in this, and if they don't already know, I hope the school is aware of this. What a great example he is setting for both Duke and future players!
Go Duke!

Huge congrats to the young man...really pulling for him.

The biggest hurdle for Quinn to overcome is being a shooting guard trapped in a point guard's body. He's a great player....but a lot of great players aren't in the NBA.

It's funny too, because he started as a legitimate point guard, but his skill set was much better suited as an off-guard as we saw with Tyus in town.

He could film a scoring point guard role, which is coveted in the League. I thought the Cavs were making the move with Mo Williams and Dellevedova gone.
