I think it was Rod Gilmore. They were giving Ohio st. credit but then it turned when Gilmore said, "Urban Meyer has turned Ohio st. into an SEC type team" Whats wrong with saying they are the best Big Team team that whipped the best in the SEC?

I'm not a SEC fan, far from it, but if you follow Urban Meyer, he's the one who said when he got to Ohio State that he wanted to model his teams after the SEC powerhouses, specifically Alabama.

The numbers don't lie SEC defenses are struggling like everyone else. The spread offense when it has a good running game with passing is very tough to stop. The quicker pace also makes it very difficult because it doesn't allow them to use their reserves and even when they do they tend to get out of position because of the pace. It creates big plays.

Oregon is impossible to stop for 4 quarters.

I was in and around Columbus a lot during the run-up to the championship and it was a virtual countdown to the coronation on the airwaves. No one gave Florida a chance. Most, including many in the national media, thought Michgan to be a more deserving opponent although OSU had beaten them in the regular season finale. Meyer and the Gators showed them what the faster of "bigger, stronger, faster" was all about.

I don't like OSU. Never have, never will. But Urban Meyer can flatout coach and recruit. I fully expect them to remain a major player on the national scene as long as he is there. Much to my chagrin.

Then he should have said an Alabama type team. Just because you are an SEC school does not mean you are bigger and faster than any other schools. You have a few elite SEC schools the rest are average I think the bowl results showed that.
