I think Bassett was due to get his first big payment from us shortly after he decommitted.
I'm surprised there hasn't been more buzz with this being the first time getting to see Spencer since worlds.

Can't be paid to compete. But can be paid to promote the events he's not competing in.
I believe there is a free trial for 1st time subscribers to Fox Nation, otherwise it's like $3/month. Also, I think there is either a free option or big discount if you're active or former military. 8pm CST start time.

Yatsenko is really solid. or was. hard to tell b/c war kind of interrupted his competition frequency.

i forget off the top of my head what year it was, but Spencer and Yatsenko won Golds at back to back weights at Cadet Worlds.

I believe they can't get prize money as professionals, but receive NIL money. Same with Kennedy Blades or any college athletes. So yes, using their name, image and likeness still gets them some money although with the clearinghouse now it will have to be monitored more closely than a year ago.
Caldwell was so close to getting two there, would've been interesting to see Bo have to wrestle from behind. But impressive pin. Shame he (or his dad) did us dirty. Have Bassett and DeSanto ever wrestled outside sparring when Bo visited?

Woods gets beat by Oliver 2-2 on a last second push out. Pretty underwhelming match from both guys. 2 push outs and 2 shot clock points was the only scoring.
Correct call at the end I thought. Oliver waited until almost the last second, Real's own fault he didn't shoot after the first minute. Easy rematch to make though.
I don't know what Oliver did to put Woods on the shot clock.

Little Tony wrestled pretty well against Tazhudinov. Got pinned getting greedy going for another gut wrench.

So disappointed for Spencer, but we've seen him shut down after the first 90 seconds so many times it's not a surprise anymore. The aura of being unbeatable is long gone. I don't know if he can hold the team spot but he'll have dig deep to do it again. Of course this was at 135, not 125, so not apples to apples.

Easy win for Kennedy. Going to be interesting how they handle her being champion if she can only wrestle November through March. Maybe they will get that worked out in the next few months.
Imagine going 3-3 in his last 6 including getting teched and pinned in consecutive matches and not being (at least a bit) concerned.
