Aliens have taken over T V shows,they also have have an army of Bigfoot creatures ready to take over the planet

The little green men, or Sutton family event as I've heard it, has stuck with me since reading about it as a child. I first read about it in a old book about Kentucky paranormal events from the school library. Another one I remember was about a farmer out in a field who had a stranger walk up and start talking to him. Story was the farmer turned to look at his horses, turned back and the guy had disappeared. Police were involved in a search and no traces found. The locals were split on whether it was an angel or an alien. Googling isn't turning up anything so that's all I got.
