This from NU basketball's media guide, about Rapolas Ivanauskas:

"Chose Northwestern over UCLA, Virginia, Wisconsin, Purdue and Michigan."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall him having offers from all these schools. Seems like a bit of embellishment from whoever put that together.

I believe he had offers from Iowa, Purdue and Creighton.

His pages on verbal commits and 247 lists only those offers. Michigan did visit him per 247. Honestly, beating out Iowa, Purdue and Creighton is enough for me.

Wow that says a lot, especially since he was able to observe last seasons successful game planning and practices. Was he able to practice at all last season? Guess it's could be more likely that he might have been a bit overrated, correct?

Haywood would know better than I, but seems like less of being "overrated," per se, and more just struggling to adapt to the team's schemes and how he fits in them after being sidelined for a year.
