Unfortunately, you guys won't get the pleasure of him playing at duke this year. With the warm reception he received last night, were you suprised even though it was your nemesis unc booing him like Steve bartman at a Cubs game lol. Furthermore, why did his mom blast k so bad? He's the one that screwed up. Lastly, would you of liked him to still be playing for duke?

Parents tend to be protective over their kids and think they do no wrong. I've heard Sheed say nothing negative about K or Duke since his departure so that leads me to believe whatever happened was justified. I always liked him but I don't think it is a coincidence Duke played their best ball after he was dismissed. I hate it but the right decision was made.

I think any Duke fan will tell you that it wasn't a pleasure having Sheed dismissed. I mean, in 35 years that's the only player K has ever dismissed. Obviously there was something wrong.

And Sheed is an emotional player who plays with a little chip on his shoulder. It bugged me sometimes, so I can only imagine it bugged UNC fans more. So, no....I wasn't surprised he got booed.

I liked Sheed, sometimes his body language aggrivated me but I hate how things turned with him. As already stated what happened happened and I think he knows why Coach K had to do it. He hasn't said anything negative about Coach or the school, and during the tourney run he was cheering his heart out for the team. I really think he would have a huge year at Duke this year.

I liked him a lot while he was here and I'll support and be happy for anything he does in basketball. Kicking him off the team last year was clearly right even though he would be a nice addition for this years team with him at point till Thornton really gets it going

Interesting article on ESPNU this morning. My head/gut tells me that K may have jumped the gun on this move. Regardless, great story and I'm happy for him.

Sheed is a good kid, good enough that I find myself cheering for Maryland. That's saying something.

As far as Sheeds Game, he just never took it to the next level. Very good player, but had you told me after his freshman season he would be in college until he was a Sr I would have thought All American.

Glad he got a second chance, if K did "Jump the gun" Sheed is handling it EXTREMELY well

Best of Luck to the young man and his future

I don't know a whole lot about Sheed, except for what I witnessed on the court.
I find it hard to believe after 35 years that K's wisdom would allow him to jump the gun. I think K gave him every opportunity to stay and turn things around. Sometimes you have to do what's right for the good of the whole.

Coach K is a human being. He gave Sheed plenty of chances, but we don't know the climate of that locker room.

K might have wanted to do something like that in years past, he just did it last year.

That head/gut feeling is anything but reality.

My head/gut feeling tells me that if K hadn't made that hard decision last year, the team wouldn't have bonded as well a they did and we would now be one championship less. I really hate it for Sheed, but I love last years trophy. OFC
