Disclaimer: This thread is not intended to bash the one's that do it.

What makes one want to camp out for a week in terrible weather (sometimes) for tickets to an event you can order online?

Is it the experience? The atmosphere? I can't think of a situation (outside of hostage torture) that I would be more miserable. Especially if it were cold and raining. I'm 40 and I am by no means the "get off my lawn" guy, but I just don't understand.

If you have camped out or are camping out now, why did you or do you like it? Do they hand out chicken sandwiches with cheese on them?

Thanks.

Oh great. Here comes the >20K post crew. LOL.
OP goes on Twitter and sends nasty DMs to recruits who commit to other schools
What's a "DM"? Sorry, I'm not up to snuff when it comes to chat room abbreviations.

Uh, yeah

Denny's got a problem man, and everybody knows it
The boi coughs like a six pack a day smoker cleanin' a coal pit
Too many D's crammed inside the boi's mouth for his own good
He's got his airway blocked up with a forest full of redwoods

Uh

Caucasian, African, Asian, Hispanic persuasions
They can all line up for a stab, there's no discrimination
Equal opportunity, yeah homey, that's his trademark
Just come on out to Denny's shed, he always needs some more bark

Uh....yeah....you know, tree bark.

Like when I said redwoods. Yeah. I'm out.

A lot of paddock posters sound like they are one bad moment from snapping a la Michael Douglas in Falling Down.
