Rattler has deleted OU from his Instagram bio.
He may be leaving sooner than expected.
Even if he isn't leaving, this doesn't reflect well of his character and should concern other schools and NFL scouts.

NIL was bad business from the get go. It's gonna create nothing but drama for cfb imo. Rattler's deleting OU from his bio was a move driven by his insecurity and his reliance on social media trying to gather support/interest to soothe his pain imo. Kid has talent but his thinking seems that of a spoiled child. Just my observation. šŸ˜‰

I was thinking about this deal the other day and I can't even fathom the whirlwind of emotions that Rattler has probably found himself in recently. Granted he's brought things on himself but the media has been just a complicit in exaggerating the expectations and pumping him as the preseason Heisman etc. At 19 years old I was trying to decide which fast food restaurant I was going to eat at that day, he's trying to decide where to park all of his cars and counting his money. I am sure and I would hope he's probably visited with the sports psychologist at some point just to make sure he's good and not too overwhelmed etc. Hell with social media etc. things can get out of hand real quick in some of these young folks minds especially when you go from being on top of the college football world to 2nd string and possibly having to come back to college another year.

gonna be really interesting if something happens to Williams and Rattler has to come in.
I hope that scenario never happens, as we all do.
But with Rattler very likely gone after the season (and maybe before any postseason games), I think Riley should give Rucker and or Bowens some playing time, especially against a very weak Kansas team tomorrow.
And after watching Tanner Mordicai last night, I sure wish he had stayed one more season even though he did right to transfer with Williams coming in and Rattler being regarded as Heisman worthy.
QB Ralph Rucker was 3rd string entering OU's first game and while he has zero star ratings at Lovejoy HS, he did throw for 3,423 yards and 47....47....touchdowns, with 3 picks his senior year....and ran for 1,044 yards and 12 touchdowns. While he did not have spring ball this year, Riley said he clearly separated himself from Bowens and the others in August drills.
Hope we see number 19 play tomorrow. This player's potential intrigues me.

Poor kid being named Ralph. He probably plays with a lot of vengeance.

If Riley were to play another QB other Rattler tomorrow, Spencer would have every reason in the world to hit the road, IMO.

I didn't even think about the Kansas game and the real possibility of the 2nd string QB getting to play. Would Rattler really refuse to come in? Would one of the other QB's get the nod over him? These are some interesting aspects to a game that should be very boring.

Agree.
But Riley has to consider 2022 as there is no QB so far in the next recruiting haul (2022).
QB Malachi Nelson won't arrive until 2023.
The situation is the same as it was at the beginning of the year. Almost everyone expected Rattler to declare for the draft after this season. So even if he transfers, it's no different. The question is, how did Riley prepare for the QB position in 2022? He knew that 7 was going to be gone.

Knowing as we all did that Rattler would be playing his last year at OU, for whatever reason, is not preparing for 2022 when you have only Caleb Williams backed up by Rucker and Bowens.
It's the depth I'm concerned about next year, not Caleb Williams being the starting QB.
