Along with Dave Hale raved about Louisville stating that we are better than pundants saying so. They are all saying that Louisville's DEFENSE is really good and that in year 2 of Bobby Petrino's Offense will be better than in 2014. They said it wouldn't surprise them that Louisville could win the Atlantic Division upsetting both Auburn and Clemson. I feel better and better about year 2015.Also, Rece and Charles said that the ACC could be out looking in on Playoff! They reflect that the ACC is down and other ACC teams need to step up.

I am assuming you meant to say FSU instead of Auburn regarding winning the Atlantic Division. We'll see. The defense should be pretty good. The offensive stability depends on the O-line. As long as the O-line does its part, the skilled position players will move the ball. It's almost here!!!!

I feel great about 2015 and although I'm not counting on winning at the Dome I sure think we will go out be competitive let the chips fall where they will. This D is stacked in a way we've never known at U of L (including the great Strong coached teams of recent years). We have just got to sort out that OL but the young talent level is up overall and the offensive improvements I hope will develop all hinge on that.

By the way, dude, not jacking on your or anything but the word is pundits. :)

[I've heard guys say "pundants" but had presumed until now they were just mis-pronouncing pundit, in the same way certain presidents have said "nucular" for nuclear. However, there is no word pundant. cheers and Go Cards!]

Well, Davis and Arbuckle both stated that Louisville could beat both teams. I think FSU is pretty much up in the air. Yes FSU lost Jameis but FSU is just absolutely loaded with skill talent and athletes'. Atlantic Div. all we have to do is get by Clemson and /or FSU to win that....we'll see!

The Auburn game is going to be tough. Auburn only has 4 returning players on that side of the ball. Defense always has the upper hand in these early season games especially when they are as experienced as Louisville. I don't see Auburn dominating the game offensively.

The same goes for Auburn they return a bunch from last year on defense even though they weren't great they have experience and talent. They go up against a Louisville offense that lost a bunch. No one knows how the Louisville offense is going to perform in game one against a good defense. They have to avoid turnovers and bad penalties. If the game gets away from Louisville it will be because the offense struggled like last year.

Impossible game to predict at this point we have no idea who the starting QB or who is going to be on the OLine. An OLine that has very little real game experience in 4 of the 5 oline spots. I have a feeling it is going to eerily similar to last year early on with the offense.

Good post but I believe Petrino knows who is going to start at QB. He doesn't want to show his hand nor should he IMO. No reason to give Auburn that info. They can find out with the rest of us on the 5th of September!!

Well, CBP is good at rope-a-doping, and floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Louisville beat Auburn. Auburn had a better team on paper last year and underperformed.
Gee, Bill. Thanks for the backhanded compliment!

If Auburn "underperforms", we've got a chance!!

Is there no end to this guy's football knowledge?

LPT Football: We know it, we just can't play it...

It wasn't meant as backhanded, I meant that Auburn's lofty ranking is weighed heavily on Muschamp, and that Auburn's ranking may be more on hype than reality. And that I feel Petrino is a better coach.

Zipp, you have to admit one thing.

If there is a fan, or fan base, out there who knows what underperforming looks like...it's the uk folks.

(not stealing your closing but.......)

LPT football: But, we're in the top 10 in August.

We are on the same page.
We want to be the overwhelmed UNDER DOG. No chance against an SEC West Powerhouse. We remember the Bulldog spanking. We are humble and just privileged to be invited to the game.
