My wife is 35, I'm 36.

Anybody have any good recommendations of carriers we should get quotes from?

If you are interested, I have access to a brokerage that can quote probably 20 different companies. Takes me about 5 mins worth of info to get quotes from all of them. PM me if you are interested.

You are at the age where you have all options available still. Much older and whole life is too expensive and eventually Term options start drying up due to age. Really depends on what your goals are for the life insurance if you. IF you are really good at saving money then yes buying Term and investing the difference is a good idea. Most folks aren't so they end up buying term and then it runs out when they are in their 60's and then want something that is going to last until their death and are shocked at the cost. There are plenty of folks on here that can help you out but feel free to PM if you have any questions.
