Allowed ASu to complete 46-68 for 415 yards. Ouch. Gonna be a long year.

At least you can feel free to make plans on Dec. 2nd.

That's record breaking? Remember the kid from Louisiana Tech, who alone had 405 receiving yards when Solich was coach? The rest of the team must have had 9 or less I guess...

I get that you're not happy. A lot of us are upset. But we don't need yet another thread about how bad the defense was. Couldn't you find room in one of the many other threads for this?

How many of those passes were more than 3 yds beyond the LOS? A ton of completions but at the LOS or less with YAC. It is the YAC that had me perplexed... Their passing game was more of a running game. I was more upset that the CB's were getting blocked out of play instead of shedding the blocks and making the play.

First games are a crap shoot. Even TO's teams struggled. Especially against gadget teams like ASt. Diaco was extremely vanilla. The most improvement happens between game one and game two. I think last night may have been a much needed come to Jesus moment. (I just can't believe we are as bad as we looked.)

Aaron Williams, Lamar Jackson, Kalu. All had decent games. We miss Chris Jones a lot. Our outside linebackers were lined up in the most ineffective way possible given their limitations. That will change. Also, #97 the nose guard backup should be playing more - he was nails.

But we're Nebraska and our vanilla should be able to line up and destroy anyone!

I remember TO trailing Wyoming in the 4th qtr in a national championship year if I recall correctly.

94 I think they were up 14-0 through the first but then Nebraska tightened up in the second quarter before ripping off like 3 TD's in the 3rd.

I remember them destroying that Wyoming QB's helmet on a sack in that game. You would not survive todays game hitting QB's like that.
