Recruits Social Media

Anyone think that recruits get hyped up seeing fans from the school they committed to or are looking at, follow their pages on twitter, FB, or X.... I noticed Bassett always had a good following, then when he committed to Iowa his page blew up! Then when he decommitted he lost alot of followers... but then i see Bachmanns pages and Kenney and Borge and they never got any spike in their following after committing to Iowa, not like it doesnt compare to Bassetts spike in followers, they literally got no change in it... you think this plays any role in kids committing or decommitting from a program?

What is their social media for? Do they have a social media to help them get recruited? that's the majority of high school athletes. Or do they have a social media presence to grow their brand? that was part of the allure of Bassett, he brought with him a complete marketing package.

how many fans follow or don't follow probably doesn't affect, but how the fans treat sure as heck does
