A lot of water has to go under the bridge before anyone(even the coaches) could begin to guess that one. Stoops will probably play anyone that he thinks has any chance of helping to any degree. If any of the early enrollees can play a lick they are likely to see the field somewhere.

Let just hope the juniors and seniors are ready to go then we can redshirt the incoming freshman unless they are legit and have to see the field

I'll go a step further and say that we should get these guys signed, sealed, and delivered on NSD before we speculate who may or may not redshirt. I do agree with Kybluedude that we need to RS as many as possible.

I agree with him too, but in reality next year it is win if you can whatever you have to do.

You do make a good point. I just hope Stoops and staff don't burn a bunch of RS's in desperation in trying to win the requisite number of games.

I would think young, rose, and smith (if we get him back ) will play. Hopefully the rest of the freshmen can rs. Bringing in jucos should help for that too . I'll bet one of the corners gets on the 2 deep though and plays as well.

Disagree 100%

I hope he does whatever needed to get 6 wins next year. That, and the pgm momentum that would come from it, is much more important than maximizing the number of RS Juniors and Seniors a few years from now. If CMS is not successful, we go back to square 1 anyway.

Our roster talent will continue to improve if we get the 6 wins and our depth will get to where we can redshirt more. Even then, our best talent still won't RS.

I think Kash Daniel will play from day one somewhere, special teams if nothing else. If the JUCO QB doesn't come then it is a fair bet that Hoak plays before the year is over. Jackson is less likely to play because of the position he plays but don't count him out.

One of the RB's based upon limited depth, the DB's and the tall WR's (if the current ones fail to improve) most likely. Any JUCO we get with Levitt an obvious one who could/should start. Don't have a glaring need at LB at this point but Kash is so talented and physically advanced. Would think DL is a high need but not sure how ready the new ones are. I would bet many of these guys are going to UK with

If Kemp, Horton, King and Boom enter the season healthy, I would think both RBs could be RSed, assuming they do not beat out one of the above.

If the WRs do not get into the 2 deep, they should be RSed. The frosh DTs woukd prob RS, especially if Pringle is on campus.

Any OLineman who is night fighting for a starting position should be RSed. Personally, I think all of the LBers will be RSed.

Hoak may be needed.

I think you're right about Kash. He plays at a position where freshmen can step in immediately that we lost three seniors from. And he brings an intensity and leadership this team could use. We have a lot of linebackers on the field and we use back ups a lot and there are special teams. He would be useful.

I think we can redshirt Young. He looks to be more of a left tackle than right with a high ceiling. Not sure he will be an upgrade over Adjei or Mosier or Stenberg in the short term at RT. Redshirt, back up Tate one year, then start for three.

I think drake plays. He looks to be the future at center. If he's going to be a starter in 17, I think playing him next year for experience had to be done. He's not really played the position, so we should be getting him some game snaps in games that are out of hand. That still makes him a three year starter. If Stallings can play the position, then you can redshirt. But I'm not sure I saw him take a snap all season.

I love kash but the smallest division in ky hs vs the sec is a huge leap. Please don't proclaim him a bust if he rs's. We have decent depth inside if everyone is healthy. Lot more than just having the size goes into playing MLBer.
