I'm posting this now because I wanted to let the great win settle in for a while but I thought that was one of the worse whistle we've gotten in a while, it won't be as big of a deal because we won but that was horrible in my opinion.

I did not think it was that bad. I thought it was about as good as you could expect on the road. I was actually pleased. I do think Refs like Pope better than they did Cal. I believe we get a lot more calls now than we did the previous 10 years. CAL PISSED EVERYONE OFF.
The first half was especially egregious.
Also, if a coach catches refs being wrong twice in a single half, badly enough that they are forced to make the right call after being challenged…maybe that should be something the league takes a look at.

I think they would like anyone more than they did Cal when he was here but I just feel they were getting bailed out a lot while Oweh couldn't buy a call on his drives.

Last 2 games have been horrible.
The two fouls on Aberdeen were killer. And I don't believe the officiating was good. But it caught up to Gillespie as well.
Posted in another thread how bad I thought it was. SEC refs are still the worst and it’s not even close.
It wasn't so much the number of calls, it was the timing of the calls and the consistency of what type of contact drew those calls
I just got a chance to sit down and watch the replay. So many times UT fans are booing and moaning when they're getting every single call. Hell, MoD got tackled on an inbounds play in the first half and they did nothin.

Yeah, I think as long as you are right...you should be able to keep your challenges . Period. If the league's counter-argument is "Well, that slows down games and undermines the refs...." GET BETTER REFS

Anybody who thinks in an era where sports gambling is legal and super easy to engage in surreptitiously, that refs are not going to be betting and having that mold how they officiate, is naive to the nth degree.
Yeah give him the calls the first 35 minutes of the game and not the last 5 minutes and I would be fine with that.
The last 2 games have been middle school type calls, the all out pushing under the goal is let go but then call cheap on the perimeter. Can’t tell me these guys are betting on games, I mean we have some of the most horrible refs in the country. Pretty boy Joe Lindsey then Doug shows and his 1980 softball shorts and my fav pat adams. And I’ll say the foul they called on tenn with the Oweh and 1 off the steal was not a foul either.
How these guys get paid what they do and suck at their job is amazing, I’d be fired if I was half that bad at mine.

I made the comment today that Oweh is about as clutch as an automatic transmission pedal from the line.
Don Dailey, Owen Short, and Valydamir(spelling) are pretty consistently bad. Especially Don Dailey he's a terrible ref and he always seems to call games in Knoxville even if they aren't playing UK.
SEC officiating is pure garbage. Always has been, always will be. I don't even want to get started on the state of officiating in the NCAA. ugh
The big white guy for UT literally just stopped, gathered ball to his chest, and pushed the MM away from him. Typical UT basketball and typical Don Daley.

Uh, you are certified insane if you think we didn’t get a HORRIBLE whistle today! Those refs were absolute CHEEKS!
No one wants to ref any more and the ones doing it are so bad that the ncaa has to change the rules to protect them. College basketball is pure garbage anymore.
Sec officiating has always been highly suspect. Pre conference play officiating is hit and miss, but once sec play starts, it's consistently bs.
