No, not the wife-murdering Bolingbrook, Ill., cop who’s now in jail; the basketball player from Libertyville (Ill.) that NU recruited but never offered a couple years ago. He wound up at Rice and is now transferring into the Big Ten with Minnesota.
Always wondered what happened to him. I saw him as a kid who could develop into a bench guy like Taphorn. This is one area where I think Collins has developed a blind spot in recruiting. But since the advent of the transfer culture, it's not apparently as important to fill out the roster with a couple of developmental kids.
It is what it is.Why does damn near every tweet about a commitment or a transfer include the phrase, "With that being said . . ."?![]()

For the same reason that every organization's favorite phrase 5-6 weeks ago was "out of an abundance of caution" and now is "the new normal."Why does damn near every tweet about a commitment or a transfer include the phrase, "With that being said . . ."?![]()
