Could have used him over Garrison..

The former Kentucky big man who didn't do much in Lexington or Kansas State? He piloted to Virginia and has been terrific for Ryan Odom's 9-1 club. Onyenso has been one of the best backup 5-men in the country this year, ranking second in block rate and controlling the boards. Opponents are shooting just 43% at the rim against Virginia when Onyenso is on the floor.

He took a while like Garrison, I hope Garrison has awaken now, and contributes the rest of the year. I think if Garrison played hard every game, he could change our team. Hope like hell he knows that's the only way to get time off that bench, especially with JQ fixing to break loose 🥳

I remember the good games garrison had last year, where he played just really hard, had a good motor. Even still, when I heard we were working hard to have him come back, I also remembered the games where he seemed to take the game off and make really bad errors. So far this year seems like it's going to play out the same.

But yea, if we could just get the good garrison, the one that plays hard with emotion, for 10 minutes a game to give us 5pts 4 reb, that would be awesome. Otherwise give his minutes to JQ and Mo.

Pope has his work cut out honestly to know when Moreno is having a freshman softy game and when he thinks Garrison will play good to be worth playing the backup.
