Maybe for you.My, how times have changed!
I'm not a huge BB fan to begin with, but I remember the Frank McGuire days. I like winning. This ain't it.My, how times have changed!
The WBB team would get absolutely thumped by a good boys high school team. The women are much more talented than the men (except for their verticals).
Not at all.The WBB team would get absolutely thumped by a good boys high school team.
By a good HS boys team - I could see that. The WBB team would get absolutely thumped by a good boys high school team.
Go look up what a 15 yr old boys soccer team did to the US Women's team and get back to me.Not at all.
"thumped," as in the result of every Gamecock men's SEC basketball game this season? The WBB team would get absolutely thumped by a good boys high school team.
I think an average HS boys team could beat the WBB team but the game would be closer.By a good HS boys team - I could see that.
An average HS boys team - probably not.
No, I mean lose by 30+. It wouldn't even be competitive."thumped," as in the result of every men's SEC basketball game this season?
It is clear to me you are a high school boys and college womens basketball expert. When may I expect to see you on a cable TV sports program? No, I mean lose by 30+. It wouldn't even be competitive.
And that's okay. As long as it's a relatively level playing field, enjoy it.The fact that women's CBB vs boy's high school basketball is even a conversation says everything you need to know.
Dawn said they often lose when they go against men from the general student body. If they played our men’s team it would be ridiculous.I'm not a huge BB fan to begin with, but I remember the Frank McGuire days. I like winning. This ain't it.
Back to bed , ace.I still don't give a damn about women's bb. Can barely turn on a couple games a year of the men's.
It's just noise until spring practice starts.
The sport that matters to you (and many others). How I view basketball season has always depended on how football season went. If the football season went well then you kind of look at basketball season as just the icing on the cake if we do well there also. If we don’t do well in basketball, no biggie, because we did well in the sport that mattered. On the other hand if football season sucked, like 2023, then you look forward to basketball season to redeem your sports year.
And if it weren’t for women there would be no sports! The WBB team would get absolutely thumped by a good boys high school team.
Amen! The softball team is doing better than last year, also. It's fine that many have a favourite sport to watch/follow. But don't diss those Gamecocks who work their butts off in a sport that doesn't interest you. Wish them well, and that they represent USC well, and get back to the sport(s) you follow.
As an example, equestrian doesn't interest me, I don't follow it, and have no interest in following it. But I still want the athletes to compete well and represent USC well, and I appreciate those who post summary results of matches on FGF.
As long as USC is sponsoring a sport (and I wish the school had started gymnastics rather than beach volleyball), I want that team in that sport to do well
11-0 as of this writing. Go Cocks!Amen! The softball team is doing better than last year, also.
