All the rightful focus on Pope replacement, what are people’s thought on Mitch replacement?

Want to move the dial, Mitch has got to go.

What about UConn AD?

Know nothing about this person, etc.

But UConn basketball has dominated in men’s and women’s and would seem like a logical place to explore, evaluate this person to assess hiring at UK.

Under no circumstances should UK consider an internal hire to replace Mitch.

It can't be anyone internal. The last 6 years has been a nightmare for UK basketball. Anyone that has been associated with what has gone on in the last 6 years doesn't need to be part of the Athletic department. It's time for a New Direction!

I would LOVE Tennessee’s AD Danny White but that’s a pipe dream most likely. I’d take the guy LSU just fired. Atleast he has balls and can make the big hires and it’s a nutless coward like Mitch.

All I know is that UK and Capilouto will most likely screw it up and make the worst hire possible. So I fully expect Peevy or one of Mitch’s stooges like Marc Hill or Rachel Baker to get it. If it happens then the the basketball program is dead. Most likely football would be too. Basketball is teetering on becoming Indiana already. Hire another Mitch stooge and that’ll seal the deal.

Btw, could UK sue Barnhart for all the bad contracts hes handed out? I still think he’s getting kickbacks somewhere from these horrible deals he’s handed out.

Athletic departments are an oddity. Do we try and steal an up and coming AD from somewhere else? Can we get a big school's current AD, or do we go after something like Texas's 2nd in command or Michigan, USCs, etc.

I know some people dont love hearing me rail against what type of job UK offers. But we have to realize that at least as for as Atheltic Department goes.. theres a heck of a lot of schools ahead of us. So we might need to get something like Maryland or IowaSts AD.. or we need to get some "president of football operations" who has the ability to handle a colleges entire collection of D1 teams. And while id rather it be "basketball" focused.. I think even with UK you still have to put the football team slightly ahead just because of the revenue it generates and the amount of attention a 50 man roster needs (but feel free to disagree, im not hard on that).

Anyone with no ties to the uk athletics cesspool. But, I’d bet money they’ll let Mitch choose and it’ll be someone from within.

At one point in the game the other night, you could see Mitch's fat head in the background. Fans need to start a "fire Mitch" chant every time he shows his face.

I’d take Iowa States AD if it gave us an in to get their basketball coach. He is legit.

I see him in the locker room after wins. Sadly they are few and far between now.

The new AD cannot be tied to Mitch's sphere of influence or an assistant work for him. We need a fresh face.

I know many like Peevy. And some don't. I don't know the why's people do or don't, but have heard that name thrown around.

From what I understand Marc is the one who influenced Mitch to land Pope. If that is true, he CANNOT be the new AD.

You do if it’s a corrupt organization which I believe we have. The JMI deal has kickbacks written all into it. Our AD is way more concerned with making money for our corporate sponsors than winning games. You think they are just going to walk away from their money making machine?? When Mitch leaves he will ensure someone that will keep the money flowing takes his place. Our only hope would be the governor to open an investigation. Alas, he’s never in the state. He’s off raising money for a presidential run.
