It's not just Kentucky (so, it's not a Beshear or political thing), but when you look at who has to close and who can stay open, it's pretty easy to see that the retail giants (Walmart, Home Depot, Sam's, Target, etc) will be open while the mom and pop stores will close. Yes, some big stores like Kohl's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and others will close. But if someone needs a home good (stove, mattress, computer, etc) that a mom and pop store may have been able to sell them last month, that customer will be getting that item at a major national retailer for the next 2-3 months. And that will be devastating for many of those moms and pops. "Shop local" won't be happening for a lot of sectors.
