Wanted them. They are playing very good ball and I think will challenge us. There is a reason we lost to them. I look forward to see their guards attempt to go to work against our boys. I hope we handle them well.

NC State scares me. They're really the only team in the ACC that can match our guard play with Barber, Lacey and Turner. Plus, few teams can outscore us....but they can when they're going.
I'm expecting a very close game with both teams scoring 75+. Hopefully our kids have that game back in Raleigh on their minds. We're going to need to play well to win.

I'll say this: this game is going to tell us a whole lot about our team going forward. State lit us up last time we played them. I mean, absolutely sliced and diced us. And they're playing great ball right now. Pitt would've been the better matchup for us but this game is the one that I wanted. This game that will show whether or not we're really locked in.
I honestly didn't really want to see NC State again because if Lacey and Turner get hot and shoot from 3 like they did the first time we played them and we're not making our 3's then they'll probably beat us again and it could possibly cost us the 1 seed but if Quinn and Tyus play the way that they've been playing lately then we'll be in really good shape.

Hopefully my wolfpack show up. Never know what you're gonna get with us. Assuming State actually shows up, this should be an awesome game. I'm curious as to what what Gottfrieds game plan is going to be. Above all else, I expect him to slow the game down as much as possible. There is no way we can keep up with Duke when it comes to transition offense. The fewer possessions the better. Second thing I expect us to do is to swarm Okafor. Our front line of Beejay Anya, Abdul-Malik Abu, Lenard Freeman, and Kyle Washington are strong and physical (if not particularly skilled). Okafor is gonna have to work for his points. Finally, I expect our guards to be very physical. The way Tyus has been playing, I expect Cat (our best perimiter defender) to hawk him. As for Cook and the others, I expect the Lacey, Turner, and the Martin twins to be physical as hell. Use our size and strength advantage. If Duke is hitting their three's, I don't expect it to be close. Otherwise, I expect a hell of a game.

This is the game we wanted. Our team has only lost 4 games this year and State made us look bad.
IMO if the teams are close, and State matches up well, it is always an advantage to be the team that lost the first game. We know what they want to do...but our approach will change.

I think some of us are being a little bit paranoid. Understandable due to two of the last three years resulting in early exits from the NCAA. Also understandable that we lost to them last time where they shot lights out. The latter part of that, i dont expect them to shoot 63% from 3pt again (remember many of those were contested). I also don't expect us to shoot 37% from the field and 26% from 3pt.
For one, they're not playing at home. Two, we've gotten A LOT better since we last played them. I think we wanted this game. I think we come out playing strong and i fully expect us to win this game being the better team throughout. It's put up or shut up time, and this is why these kids went to Duke. I dont care who's across the way anymore. We win this one.

We've got our hands full tonight. I think it will be decided the last 2 or 3 minutes in the game. I hope we go to Jah all night. We for sure are going to need to play a lot better exterior defense than last time. A lot of things have changed since our last meeting. A shorter bench but did expand Grayson's role and he has responded for the most part. I do think we win but we will have to play for 40 minutes . OFC
