Rex Ryan, Mike Leach

If we want a big name coach with head coaching experience, it's pretty much going to have to be someone with ties to this state, like Rex Ryan or Mike Leach. Ryan is a former assistant at both Morehead and EKU, and of course we all know Leach is a former assistant here at UK. How happy would you be with either Ryan or Leach as our head coach next year?

yeah, let's shoot for Harbaugh. He has ties (I can do a six degrees of separation for any coach, so let's not let that stop us). Besides, they tried to get Marrow from us. It's payback time!!

The notion that someone with Rex Ryan's resume would come here is just ludicrous. The man is a well-respected NFL head coach. Well-respected NFL head coaches do not take notorious graveyard jobs like UK football.

I swear some of you guys must not have been around during our past coach searches, given some of these laughably unrealistic suggestions that get thrown out. Folks, this is not basketball where UK gets to pick and choose. There's a reason we always end up with B-list football hires, the A-list candidates have no interest in coming here.

I'm in complete agreement with you. I don't think Ryan would come either. All he can do is say no.
