Wesley Woodward has never hidden his love of Kentucky, or his desire to return, here.

He has a good name in Georgia, and everywhere he has played pro ball.

Stoops isn’t intimidated by having former Cat legends on staff, as Anwar Stewart has worked out pretty good.

Looks like a no-brainer!!
Stewart, Brown, Schlarman, and assistanty-assistants like Drake Jackson and Cj Conrad. 100% on with that assessment.

We need someone who can evaluate and coach kickers and long snapper at the top of ST list. I’m not a fan of an entry level coach trying to fix our ST. It would be great to plug him in somewhere where he can learn. Great guy to have around

He could be a LB coach/ST coach

He would KILL it recruiting in Georgia and in Nashville area. Those are two areas that have lots and lots of players

Would LOVE to get Woodyard on the UK staff! Guarantee he would be great with the kids and probably recruit very well once he got his feet wet. All for this! Love that guy! Few got MOrE out of their abilities. Heck, his NFL team made him a captain!
Pretty sure that in college and pros he was team captain on every team he played on.

Based on conversations with my nephew about all the schools recruiting him or that he’s visited. They typically don’t have a “kicking” coach. Most have a Special Teams coordinator, but they leave the kickers on their own to get outside coaching on their kicking. Many kickers, like Kellan already have coaches they work with.

Woodyard is one of my all time favorites. He was a leader type for us the minute he stepped on the field. How well could he recruit is the only question, and that is a big question. Whoever it is, has to be a great recruiter.

What's up with your nephew? You say he would like to be a CAT? I think you said he could get a ride academically? If so, why not take the academic route and walk on and compete for the job? One of my very good friends post here as well and is also a Trinity grad who attends games. Says your nephew is very, very good. Just a strange situation.

Woodyard was one heck of a LB both at UK and the NFL. Would love to see him on staff if he’s got the desire to get into coaching.

IMO there has to be a way to get Wesley Woodyard on our staff. His contacts in the South would be unreal. Not only was he a outstanding player he's even a better person.

If you watch the instagram feed of Wesley Woodyard’s wife, they are comfy in Orlando and he is doing stuff for the nflpa. Not sure he’d want to grind like college coaches have to. He’d be a great coach, but not sure with 4 young kids that’s an option for him.
