Hans Gruber: "And when Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer." Benefits of a classical education.

Bummed about this one. He had one of the best voices around. I enjoyed many of his roles.

Some people are born in the wrong century. He was born on the wrong continent.

Best Sheriff of Nottingham ever.

Robert Shaw is the only other one who is close. He is better remembered for his role as Quint in "Jaws", the big mark (Lonnegan) in "The Sting", the assassin Grant in "From Russia with Love" or Henry VIII in "A Man For All Seasons".

^ yeah, but didn't see a thread, and I was busy yesterday. POS Lawrence Phillips got one, so why not Rickman?

This new thread is disrespectful to the greatest Illinois Nazi killer of our lifetime.

Great actor. No Robert Shaw. Close though.

I liked what the aliens fixed for him in Galaxy Quest. Tim Allen got a steak from Iowa.
