Saw him at Augusta this year and he did not look right. Felt this day was coming soon. Sad to hear. True legend.

Just found out about this. I'm 32 so Palmer was well before my time but his impact on the game is everlasting. RIP to one of the all time greats!

Golf Channel has a 4 hour documentary on him a couple of years ago. I'm sure they will run it soon. It is excellent.

Fortunate to see him play in a Senior event in Lexington. Watched him stand outside for over an hour signing stuff for kids and adults following his round.

Sad day.

Arnold was my favorite of all time. He did so much for golf that many aren't aware of. He was the biggest contributor, against the advice of his financial advisors, to get the Golf Channel started.

Was in Arnie's Army as a kid while he was still playing at a decent level. RIP.

Here's an insider tip. Whenever Mr Palmer (yeah, respect given) used a courtesy car, he ALWAYS brought it back fully gassed up, washed, and at least 4 sleeves of golf balls for the guy driving it back. Guys who KNEW him know this. I didn't know him, but I have a boss that did. He always looked out for the working class guys.
