Last night's humiliating offensive effort from Iowa was a fitting finale for the BIG Ten West. 0-10 in conference championship games. Average margin of victory in these games by the east was over 20 points. The only close one that I can remember is when we beat Wisconsin. I wonder how these teams will fare now that they may more regularly have to face PSU, Michigan, and Ohio State in addition to UCLA, USC, Washington, and Oregon. The new no division set up will be much more fair. Not sorry to see this joke of a division system go.

Nice, but you could have added a couple of “relegated to the dust bin of History” or “what never should have existed has now been eliminated” comments to add some literary flair and spice things up a tad.

I can't find it but someone tweeted yesterday that with the divisions gone, 1/3 of the Big Ten has zero chance.

So maybe that will be a reason to not change the Conference name from THE BIG TEN, because I was wondering what they were going to do with 18 teams.

You think that highly of the West? Wow... ;) Save Northwestern and Illinois (Maybe Purdue?), there really isn't a nearby recruiting hotbed for the West teams. Most teams run ground and pound offenses because OL and sometimes DL can be developed instate. Not much Arm talent in the West.
