Since 1935, the only man to win the Masters in his first attempt. From all accounts, a really good man that’s unfortunately defined to many for an inappropriate joke.

My dad always loved following him in pro-ams on the Champions Tour because they’d have bottles of his Vodka in his bag and his caddy would pour it for you if you asked.

Agreed--first thing I thought of when I saw his name was the Tiger joke but, yes, by almost every account he was a great, charismatic guy who definitely showed remorse for the joke.

I followed Fuzzy for 18 holes at the Children’s Hospital Pro Am at Bethlehem Management Club in Hamburg NY in the early 1980s. He was a great guy and could hit the ball a mile. He had a ton of power, and a fast whip like swing.

Met him at golf clinic / teaching program at Tiburon Golf Course (Ritz Carlton, Naples, FL) - personable, great conversation and willing to do so much for charities. Lived down here in Winter season - just a great man. Much too young.

Tiburon did host Greg Norman Invitational, now hosts the last LPGA tournament, the CME championship a week ago.
