No doubt a great actor, but I wouldn't go so far as to call him real super talented.
He was uniquely talented. He had performances the blockbusters stars couldn't pull off.

Varney was very talented. Much more than his buffoon persona he took to the bank in his later years of performing. He died too young.

No, sorry. He was 91 and Dad will be in November. Dad went into the Navy before finishing high school. I think he was 17. Dad learned to play the harmonica on a ship in Mobile. They dropped the bomb and Dad got to finish HS (Bald Knob- Franklin County) and go to UK on the GI Bill. Hope that helps.
