Who's the best former Bluesbreaker guitarist:
1. Eric Clapton
2. Peter Green
3. Mick Taylor

Surely not an easy answer here as all three are highly acclaimed and have individually influenced a whole lot of guitar players (I'd say Clapton certainly more than the others but both of those two certainly have their acolytes).

For my money, it would be Taylor as he >>>> slide player than Clapton (and better, imo, that Green) and has just as much or more technique than the other two. Clapton has the advantage of being first while also being an outstanding player. Green somewhat gets lost in the shuffle, imo, but many later guitarists cite his work in the BBs and early Fleetwood Mac as being influential.

If'n you're a music junkie like myself, you owe it to yourself to learn about the influence of John Mayall. He's an true legend amongst musicians from as far back as the 60s and right up thru present day.

Damn shame he died before his induction into the RnR HOF, which will happen later this year. WTF took them so long, I'll never understand.

He lived on a stoop, had a Rockabilly past, and drank Night Train. Surprised he lasted this long.
