Motherfuqin shiit man. Probably the hardest music loss for me since Eddie Van Halen and probably Prince before that. Absolute rock/music legend. Heavyweight.
He was *only* 76?! So he was in his early 50s when the Osbourne show came out?! How!?

Love him or hate him, a big loss for the metal genre (heck, Black Sabbath INVENTED the genre).
Their first album and the first cut "Black Sabbath", stopped me my tracks. The lick that Iommi plays "The Devil's tritone- root, octave, flat five"... scared the shite out of this not-yet teenager listening with headphones in my darkened bedroom.
And if you grew up in the mid/late 70s, "We Sold Our Souls for Rock and Roll" was in every 8 track player.

That might have been what kept him going. Had a friend that passed away about a year ago. His family arranged a 70th birthday party for him. He'd been in declining health for quite some time. He died just a few days after his party. He was ready to "go home".
