WV, WVU and the Mountaineer Nation lost a great one today...

"Country roads truly lead to heaven. Rest in peace my sweet father, Stephen Lane Douglas. Make no mistake - he beat cancer. He beat it with his mind, heart and soul. My dad did not let a terrible disease affect his amazing personality and love for his family and friends. He displayed incredible courage and dignity through unimaginable circumstances. Ever loyal Mountaineer we lose is one too many. RIP. My condolences to his family and my alma mater's family.
In Steve's case, he was president and chief executive officer for the WVU Alumni Association for three decades. Our paths crossed often, although I doubt that he remembered me. But I sure remember him. The Alumni Center won't be the same without him.

Sorry to hear AZ, you have my deepest sympathies. I know how you feel as many of us probably do, or will in time.
