I remember reading he was a neighbor of Barry White and they had become quite close. Interesting guy.
The game show host community has a number of really interesting folks. I recently read Allen Ludden's bio (Password): being married to Betty White automatically gets you some publicity... but several of the hosts are pretty darn interesting: Chuck Woolery, Chuck Barris, and of course Bob Barker.
Quite a subgroup.
Wink seemed like the kinda dude that would throw those weird masquerade sex parties, but he'd just sit in the corner and watch. Richard Dawson would be there, balls-deep in anything with a pulse.
