Sorry, but I can’t live in a world where we have threads about Luke Maye above ones about RJ Barrett. I know we talk a lot about how Tre is our “most important” and Zion is our “best” player but on any given night that we need him to be RJ has been both. Continues breaking records and is not given nearly the credit he deserves. Everyone on here was going nuts about Luke Maye’s 30 points against us on a bunch of point blank looks without Zion in the game but RJ literally manufactured 30 points last night in every way imaginable against a defense that knew he was priority no. 1. Anyhow, rant over, RJ is amazing and should be remembered as one of our best freshmen ever at a Duke.

I think the jury is still out on who will be the #1 pick in the draft. RJ's game may just translate better, although Zion will fill seats and create a buzz. I'm glad I'm not the one who has to choose.

At the end of the day we need everyone healthy to win. If we play hard every game no one will beat us because we are more talented than everyone else

Except it’s not out. The scouts are unanimous on Zion being number one and they saybits not close. Christ Haynes (my boy) Tony jones (best friend) Stephen A Smith, chris Broussard, J.Giovany, and wojo have all said that every nba scout/team they have talked to has Zion as number one. They say you don’t pass up on something that has never been seen. A wing scorer comes and goes but a elite player on offense and defense who is the size of a defensive lineman, jumps like a high jumper and the speed of a running back with a high end motor is rare and you don’t pass on that

I think the jury is still out on who will be the #1 pick in the draft. RJ's game may just translate better, although Zion will fill seats and create a buzz. I'm glad I'm not the one who has to choose.

RJ is great. Zion is even better. We need a consistent 3rd scoring option, with others capable on a given night to be good contributors.
Cam, Tre, Alex, and maybe Baker. These 4 will put us into late March, early April.

Cannot like this enough. RJ is not only a great player, but he's a great leader as well. With his best friend injured these past two games he's stepped up big time and delivered the goods. We Duke fan's are definitely spoiled this year with our freshman, as they are they are all great players and more importantly good people with heads firmly planted on their shoulders. One of my all time favorite squads.

I think we need a semi-functional bench more than a named third option. I am kind of glad that Baker is off the shelf. What kid wants to be tagged as a fifth year wannabe? Our success will be determined by bench play and lack of injuries.

RJ has an uncanny ability to throw up that one handed 10 footer from inside the foul line that almost always goes in.

In this other world where there will be no Luke M. posts, are Buffalo Wings good for YOU? Can you guarantee us no more injuries? Will I be able to jump like I could when I was 20? If so, I am all in brother!

NO KIDDING.
The one last night against Syracuse must of touched every inch of the rim before dropping. I’ve never seen someone so skilled at 10ft floaters. Actually, I’ve just never really seen anyone shoot 10ft floaters.

RJ is really getting it done. It is amazing what we have taken for granted these last few years.

Every year I say there won't be a better freshman than Tatum, Bagley, now Zion and RJ. This year will be tough to top though.

We’re filthy spoiled. I want more spoiling though, like another natty hanging in the Cameron rafters.

If these freshmen want to play the Santa Claus of April and deliver that, I’ll forever be grateful.

He has really matured and become an absolute beast. An uncanny ability to get the ball in the hoop through contact. And now the rebounds and the assists and the low turn overs... he’s really phenomenal.

One more thing to love about RJ, he's clutch. Couple of examples that come to mind are the 1st game against UVA, we needed a bucket to stem the tide and pull away being up only 61-60, RJ drives and finishes not one, but two through contact to give us much needed breathing room. Then against Cuse Saturday, Cuse cuts our lead to two and the lid is about to blow off the Carrier Dome, what does Maple Mamba do? He pass fakes and looks Brissett straight into the corner and buries the 3, which starts a 7-0 run which is finished off by none other than....RJ on an alley-oop from Tre. Kids got ice-water in his veins man, and I love it.

I was at the game. Told a couple strangers behind me who were Duke fans a couple minutes prior that RJ was about to hit a cold blooded shot, I could sense it coming.

I also said before the game that Jack White would hit 3+ 3-pointers so I guess they cancel out....

You couldn’t have known AOC was going to play 30+ minutes in place of Jack. Good prediction if you ask me, at least the guy taking his minutes did it.

Predict something like that again tonight.

We are going to see Jack White break back out before the end of the season. Coach K is pulling all the strings to see which one gets a reaction. I think it’s nothing more than Jack getting pissed at seeing others get his minutes and say no more. He’ll get more opportunities he’s got to make the most of them.

We keep saying that about Jack. We’re up to what now, the 12th game since his 0 for streak started? Like his heart and hustle, but his whole game has slipped.

This team has a chance for #6, and unfortunately K felt he needed something more than what Jack was giving.

We’re about to find out.

I’m with this. I want him back to how he was pre-conference just as much as anyone but he’s playing miserably. 0/25 on his last 25 3PT attempts... There’s bad, and then, well I just don’t really have words for that. To top it off, his defense has even been lackluster. Never seen an overall slump quite like it to be honest, I don’t know what to think. I love the kid but we have way too much talent on this team to ride him out. It’s been at least 10 games since the start of this decline.

I’m ready to see AOC in action tonight. I hope the Syracuse game wasn’t a one game wonder. Excited to see Baker get some action too. If he can shoot it like they say, I wanna see it!!!

Earlier in the season I said we probably have the two best players in college basketball.

Remove the word "probably".
