They're huge, and they're hard to pull off. I'm not annointing this team based off one or two games, but for a young team like this to start off the season with a couple road conference wins can go a long way mentally. There's many more challenges ahead....enjoying these 'little' wins for this team are important too, though.

I agree. I wish more people could sit back and enjoy the team a bit.

They pulled off two solid road wins to start the regular season and they had some adverse conditions (two experienced players with 4 fouls early when we only have a 6 to 7 man rotation) to face as well.

We don't know what's down the road (pun intended), but these are the type of moments that all of should enjoy. This was a huge win, especially for such a young team. I'm really happy with the way our guys compete.

This was a very big road win. In recent years, Duke's made a bad habit of losing 1 or 2 early conference games like this on the road every season. In a year where we probably have some limit talent-wise, we can't afford to give away any winnable games if we want to have a chance of even being competitive in the ACC race. Winning games like this @Wake, @NC State, @GT, and @Pitt are critical. This team showed a lot of poise tonight. Frankly far more than we had shown against Utah or UK away from Cameron.

If Amile's rehab goes a little better than expected and we get him at some point in Feb. -- maybe we'll have a chance to make things interesting when the schedule gets noticeably tougher.

I hear the Winston Salem PD is looking for Marshall Plumlee. He is wanted for assault and battery on those rims last night.

The young 2012 team went undefeated on the road in the ACC, and keeping that roller coaster season in mind should temper unreasonable expectations and pressure. In the meantime, it has been cool seeing this team rise to challenges.

Didn't I hear them say last night that this is only the 5th or 6th time in K's career where the ACC campaign has started with consecutive road wins? I guess that is more a byproduct of not usually starting the ACC season with multiple road games, but it is still interesting.

The freshman are getting better each and every game....Offensively this team is going to be a nightmare for coaches come March....When you look at guys like Ingram, Kennard and Thornton you see confidence growing rapidly.

Rebounding and Defensively speaking we are still a long ways away from where we need to be and that is what has burned us with early March losses. Truthfully speaking we will need Amile back or Jeter to make big strides by season's end if we are going to have a legitimate shot at making a serious run.

However I do agree with the sentiment of this thread which is don't stare at the forest all year and miss the individual trees. Take each game for what its worth too and last night was a big road win for this team.

I'd still take that dagger from Rivers in the Dean Dome and a first round exit over, say, a Sweet 16 appearance.
