We get 8-10 a day on our business phone because we’re listed on google I think. About 80% of them start with the google chime and says “this call generated by your google ads”.

I've been working my current job for a year and a half. The average number of calls is ten and I've received at least 20+ a day every single day that I've worked here with damn near all of them being a ******** call about a Google ad. If the Joker that was in charge of implementing these calls were to walk through the door on the right day when my temper is ready to blow, the world would know my name and I'd be getting three hots and a cot for the rest of my life.

Worthy of a gofundme for your lawyer. Keep us in mind if the situation arises.

Was getting a lot. Opted in to an AT&T service that screens most. Down to 1 or 2 now.

The worst is the robbo calls that steal your phone number and then mask their with it. One day out of the blue my cell blew up all day with people calling me back because they missed a call. Went on for three days. Thought I was gonna have to change my cell number which would suck *** as I have had the same one forever and use it for work but after a week it stopped.

So are robo calls really effective. Does anyone really generate any type of business from them at this point?

Wyoming has a state law which prohibits automated sales calls. And you know what? We still get them.

Because its virtually impossible to enforce or hold them accountable. They are in another state sometimes another country and they change their phone numbers almost daily. My big question is since everyone hates them and no one answers what benefit are they getting from them and why does anyone pay for them? Its like all the junk mail I get. I don't understand the economics driving it.

Remember, theoretically half of the people they call are of below average intelligence. They are making money, and lots of it.

I refuse to believe that the federal or state governments can't figure out a way to stop this. It's insane. They cracked down on junk faxes and it reigned in that abuse.

Are you telling me there are people out there who actually return calls when they miss a call from a number they don’t recognize? Why?

If it is important, the caller will leave a VM.

Yes and after my experience there are a lot of them. Craziest thing about it was how many wanted to then have conversations with me. I guess some people are just lonely? Blew my mind for sure.
